Client Project: Go Natural Paint

A real perk for us here at Visage is how much we learn from our clients. For example, do you know why citrus tree trunks are painted white? One of us here thought it was to repel bugs. Another didn’t even question the white paint – it’s just how it’s done.

Enter Chuck and Susan with Go Natural Paint. Chuck and Susan came to us in need of web presence and a sprucing up of their brochures and business cards. Their product is a natural colored tree trunk paint. From Chuck and Susan we learned two things: 1) the paint is actually used to protect the trunk against the UV rays of the sun, and 2) citrus tree growers no longer have to paint their trees with the eyesore white paint that distracts so drastically from the tree’s beauty because Chuck and Susan have created a singular product. Go Natural Paint is a protective paint that covers the tree just like its white cousin but blends with the color of the bark. It can even cover already whited trees.

Chuck and Susan are wonderful folk and are a joy to work with. They wanted something clean and simple for their website that really mirrored the nature of their product. We designed a look that complements their existing branding and applied that design to their brochures and business cards for a cohesive facelift. Visit GoNaturalPaint.com to see our work and learn more about Chuck and Susie and their great product.

Ideas By Andi

Today, Visage would like to draw your attention to Andi Vopalensky Morales. Andi is the mastermind behind Ideas by Andi, a promotional products company powered by Boundless Network. Andi has been a client of ours for ten years and we not only help create designs for her clients’ promotions, we also worked with her to develop a dynamic brand for her business. We’ve applied that branding to her business cards, website, Twitter background, pen art, note cards, and address labels. “I truly love everything Visage has ever done for me,” Andi says, “but I think the best is my website. It is so me. It’s fun and funky, bright and sassy. But still functional and it’s not slick for the sake of being slick. I love that Visage marries form and function so well in everything they do.”

If we have learned anything about Andi in the time we have worked with her it is that she is an ideas woman. Her creativity and innovation are invaluable assets in getting any job done. Andi’s dedication to her clients inspires us. Just like Visage, Andi is all about going above and beyond — getting to know her clients, understanding their needs, and delivering. “I’m very passionate about what I do. The promotional products at an event can really make or break it – so I’ll do anything I can to make it happen for my clients.”

But not only is Andi amazing at what she does for you as a client, she also has been on the other side of the equation. “I think it helps that I was the client for many years,” Andi told us. “I can truly say I have been there. It helps me anticipate any pitfalls or challenges they might have.” Andi previously worked in the back side of the industry, as a buyer, and for the last ten years has worked directly with clients to get them just what they need. With her big ideas and her big heart she is the perfect person to work with when you need anything from a product for a tradeshow to a 50 years of service award.

We absolutely love working with Andi and know you will, too! Check her out at ideasbyandi.com.

Green Thumb Gardening Coach

A Growing Business

Several months ago, we were approached by a potential client (recommended to us by another client, but that’s another story…) seeking assistance in launching and presenting her new business. Jen Kirkpatrick had decided to tap into her passion and years of experience in gardening and horticulture, an entrepreneurial drive, and a love of working with people, and create Green Thumb Gardening Coach – offering gardening and landscaping assistance, education, direction and motivation to others.

Tilling, Planting and Fertilizing

greenthumbgardeningcoach.comJen had a great business idea and great skills and knowledge with which to work, but she was looking for a (literal) ground-up approach to get her business started and promoted. We worked with her to come up with a logo and overall branding and image style that reflected her business, and provided our custom photography services to visually capture Jen, her business and her passion.

From there we created her initial marketing pieces to allow her to approach potential clients, including a custom, easily-updated dynamic website, business cards and magnetic vehicle signage.

Growth and Propagation

Properly prepared, planted and nurtured, Jen’s business has really started to grow. Her vehicle signage gets her name, number and message in front of hundreds (if not thousands) of potential customers each day. Through incidental contacts and networking during her normal daily activities, she’s promoting her business Green Thumb vehicle magnetsvia word-of-mouth and with distribution of her business cards, and her website continues to enjoy increasing traffic. Most recently, one of our primary online sources for Web tools and technology selected GreenThumbGardeningCoach.com as one of their feature Showcase websites, putting Jen and her business in front of thousands of additional sets of eyes.

Congratulations, Jen! You’re off and running, and we’re thrilled and honored to be your partner in the process.

The Career Passion Coach

Career Passion Coach business card

Catherine Jewell, the Career Passion Coach® and author of New Resume New Career, contacted us recently to discuss the possibility of outsourcing some of her upcoming marketing projects to us. One great conversation later, we were all set to start of with the revamping of her business card. The end result was an extremely pleased new client. And while creating effective and attractive visual marketing designs for our clients is a top priority, so is providing awesome service. So we were pleased when she sent us this note: “It’s been a delight working with you! I am so pleased with the work so far – and looking forward to the next things… I’ll be in touch soon.” ~ Catherine

It was a delight working with you as well, Catherine. Thank you so much for choosing Visage Creative. Looking forward to our next project!

Bridge Fitness

Sean Ory, owner/founder of Bridge Fitness, was referred to us by one of our wonderful clients from the Chicago area. Sean just recently relocated from there to Arizona and was looking for some visual marketing help for his in-home personal training business. We went to work to help create a look that reflected Sean’s business image and message – strong, effective and sporty, but also warm and friendly. The result was a logo, business cards and web site that, we’re proud to say, blew him away.

We think Sean is one of the nicest people we’ve met. And, he really knows his stuff. If you’ve ever considered hiring a personal trainer – or even if you haven’t, you’ll definitely want to check him out.

MC Companies

MC Companies business cards

For many of our clients, Visage Creative is a regular part of their creative team. MC Companies, a management and investment company handling multi-family properties,  is one of those clients. Since 2006, we’ve worked closely with Kim, MC’s Director of Marketing & Public Relations, to help supply her company and their many communities with a variety of smart, effective and attractive visual marketing aids. From business cards to mouse pads to ads and invitations, Kim has called on us just as she would have called on an in-house marketing/media/collateral department.  For businesses like MC Companies, expenses are managed and reduced by not having to incur all of the carrying costs of a full-time marketing team, and for us, we have the efficiencies of working with an established client with established practices… truly a win-win situation!

Juanderful Work

Juanderful Work Enterprises hails from Austin, Texas and this client came to us for help in getting his new business up and running. Hard work, honesty, integrity and quality is the name of the game for them and they wanted their marketing materials to help get that message across. So we created a logo that “certified” them as the four-star business they are – and along with the logo came business cards, letterhead, a splash web page, truck magnets, and yard signs. We loved helping get this business off to a “Juanderful” start!

History in the (Re)Making

Visage was recently commissioned to recreate the Arizona Rose flour sack art for the historical Hayden Flour Mill in Tempe, Arizona. This replica (shown above) of the original beautifully intricate vintage design is slated to be used on packaging for the handcrafted flour Hayden Flour Mills is planning to mill beginning this Fall. We’re honored and excited to be a part of this historical moment.
